What is the course about?
This Qualification describes the job roles of supervised entry-level workers in the irrigation industry. It covers the employment areas of irrigation installation and irrigation operations.
Job titles may include: Field and support staff, Irrigation industry.
What is it going to do for me?
It provides students with the skills & knowledge needed to work under supervision as a skilled operator or assistant to a specialist in the irrigation industry. Students complete a range of general irrigation modules.
On successful completion of the course, you will be able to:
- Install irrigation systems for a range of crop types and industries
- Monitor the performance of irrigation systems
- Collecting and recording information relating to irrigation
- Understanding of soils & the effects of irrigation to soil
- Plan for the best type of irrigation systems
How is the training delivered
Irrigation has limited funded places (10 only places under a contract of training). However, a student can still attend the classes if they do not have a contract of training, but the course would be Fee for Service at a cost of $6400.
How long is it going to take?
The classroom study is fortnightly for 1 (one) year.
